The CORFU house was built in 1844 by the Marienbad city on the monastery grounds as a building for storing fire props and tools, including fire hoses.
This was so-called "Feuerlösch-Requisiten - Magazin".
Next to it, the Jewish community built in 1861 the JEWISH SPA HOSPITAL (dn.Sion, no. 102) with a prayer house.

1893 Reconstruction and partial extension of the southern wing (Plan zum Anbau Wohn und Geschafshaus mit Remise und Stallgebaude).
Sometime in 1893, the house passed from the city property to: Hugo Fleischner 27.4.1841 (VI, Drmoul, Drmoul, Karlovy Vary Region) - 1922 (Mariánské Lázně).

In the 1920s, it no longer served this purpose and the building was used for some time as a private real grammar school.
The first house in Lesní Street is Villa GÖDÖLLÖ (now Ulrika, formerly Odessa, No. 139), but originally Villa Dobierschewský.
The famous virtuoso violinist Jan Kubelík lived here. During the war, the villa was a military infirmary.
Up on the slope stands the hotel ROYAL (No. 345). It was built in 1910. Before that, however, there used to be Mr. Weixelmann's gardening.
Before the Second War, the hotel was owned by Anna Thummerer and Luisa Fürst. During the war, Royal served as part of the hospital.
In 1920, a lower (4 class) real grammar school was established in Mariánské Lázně. 2 classes were located in the CORFU house and in the Jewish prayer house in Lesní street.
The fire brigade was founded in Mariánské Lázně in 1868. The original fire station was extended by an extension to the south facade and covered with a gabled roof. In 1870, the front (western) wing has been already built.
